The Ginger Room - Atlanta, Georgia

My dear friend Amanda and I made the trip to just outside of Atlanta, Georgia in nearby Alpharetta to have an afternoon tea at the Ginger Room. It is the oldest building in Alpharetta and recently opened just a few months ago in February 2021. They have beautiful decor throughout and you can even pick up goodies to go along with their famous ginger juice. We met with one of the owners, Angela, and had a lovely chat. We learned the history of the opening and building and the room we sat in was called the gallery. It featured art by local artists. I sat next to a print of Gone with the Wind which is fitting since I am obsessed with the film. They also had a really stunning outdoor seating area complete with Cinderella's carriage!

We both got a pot of tea. I tried Earl Grey and my friend a cinnamon blend. They brought us a three tiered stand chock full of goodies. The first layer of coronation chicken salad, egg salad, and salmon sandwiches. Fresh made scones with lemon curd and ginger curd. Top tier was a variety of sweets, even a Bakewell tart!

The service there was amazing. Our glasses were always topped with water and checked on often to make sure we were not in need of anything. Tea was really lovely! There is also an option to get a flight- be sure to ask for this if you want to try a variety of teas.

We shopped around and bought some tea to go too! A bought a blend of coconut tea (white tea with flowers). A very sweet, light coconuty-flavor.

Overall, this sweet gem is one I can't wait to go back and visit. Be sure to make a reservation way ahead of time because this place books up quickly.
